Technical Sales Specialist - Protein Expression

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Product Specialist III to drive revenue growth in protein expression solutions through technical sales expertise. The role combines customer relationship management, product demonstrations, and cross-functional collaboration across the Pacific Northwest region.
Responsibilities
- Deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations showcasing protein expression portfolio capabilities
- Partner with Marketing, Product Managers, and Field Application Scientists to identify sales opportunities and develop strategies
- Build customer relationships and close complex sales deals by translating needs into tailored solutions
- Conduct technical training sessions and support customers at their locations across Washington, Oregon, and British Columbia
- Achieve sales targets and expand market share in protein expression solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Biology or Life Sciences
- 5+ years technical support, technical sales, or bench research experience
- Hands-on protein expression workflow expertise including production, cloning, and purification
- Strong technical knowledge in cell biology and life sciences disciplines
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Salesforce CRM system proficiency
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel 50-75% within territory
Compensation: $84,000–$111,000 base, plus variable annual bonus
