Community Association Attorney - Litigation & Transactional | Irvine, CA | Hybrid to Remote Settings | Full-Time

We are a California-based law firm focused on providing legal counsel to homeowner and community associations throughout the state. We are seeking an experienced attorney to join our practice and work closely with association boards, community managers, and firm partners on a broad range of community association matters.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in community association/HOA law, real estate, litigation, transactional matters, or a combination of these areas. We are open to experienced litigation attorneys, transactional attorneys, and attorneys with a true hybrid background.

The position is designed for an attorney who is interested in long-term growth and has the potential to develop into a future leadership or partnership role.

What You'll Do

• Represent condominium, townhouse, planned development, and other community associations throughout California.

• Advise association boards and community managers on legal, governance, and operational matters.

• Handle litigation involving real estate, construction defects, contracts, and community association disputes.

• Prepare and review governing documents, contracts, corporate documents, board resolutions, and other real estate-related documents.

• Advise clients regarding corporate governance, CCRs, construction matters, and related association issues.

• Work directly with firm partners, clients, boards, and community managers.

• Contribute to client education, legal publications, presentations, and business-development initiatives.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5+ years of relevant legal practice.

• Active California Bar membership.

• Experience with community associations / HOAs, real estate, litigation, transactional law, or related practice areas.

• Strong litigation experience for litigation or hybrid candidates.

• Transactional experience involving real estate, corporate governance, contracts, or related matters is highly valued.

• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively with clients, partners, and colleagues in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.

Compensation:

• $150,000-$200,000 base salary (DOE) + bonus + profit sharing

The position begins with a hybrid onboarding period, during which the attorney will work closely with firm partners and the legal team. Following the initial onboarding and integration period, the position can transition to a fully remote arrangement.
