Construction Defect Paralegal

Litigation ParalegalFoley & Lardner LLP is looking for a skilled and experienced Litigation Paralegal with excellent research and analytical skills for our busy Construction Defects department. The Litigation Paralegal supports the firm's litigation team by managing critical casework from case inception through resolution, working with attorneys to respond efficiently to arbitration demands, complaints, discovery, hearings, and settlements. This role ensures cases stay organized, deadlines are met, and court filings and client documents are prepared accurately and on time. The position has broad responsibility across case administration, document drafting, court and claims tracking, and settlement coordination, with a particular focus on supporting litigation workflow. By providing strong case management and billable support, the Litigation Paralegal directly contributes to the department's efficiency, client service, and successful case outcomes.ResponsibilitiesAssist in drafting responses to Demands for Arbitration and DiscoveryDraft responses to complaints and discoveryPrepare materials and documents for hearingsFile and service circuit court filingsDraft settlement agreements, signatures, and fund disbursementsTrack mediation outcomes, settlements, and tender of paymentsRequest documents from clientsAssist in the preparation of team snapshots for meetingsUpdate claims databasePrepare Response to Notices of ClaimsPrepare Work Authorization AgreementsRequest copies of inspections and estimatesPrepare claim for final hearingConsistently achieve billable hour expectation set by the firm (including approved non-billable time)QualificationsHigh School or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA approved paralegal program preferredMinimum of three (3) years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal requiredConstruction defects experience preferredTrial preparation experience preferredPrior experience billing time strongly preferred #LI-onsiteIn support of transparency and equity in the workplace, Foley provides salary ranges for all positions. The figures below represent the full compensation range for this position. The actual amount offered will be between the range minimum and midpoint based on the following factors: education, experience, geographic market, and internal pay equity at Foley.Miami, Orlando, & Tampa: $77,500- $108,500
