Travel Physical Therapist (PT) Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist for a 13‑week travel assignment in Toledo, Iowa. Company: Fusion Medical Staffing Location: Facility in Toledo, Iowa Assignment Length: 13 weeks Required Qualifications: Valid Physical Therapy license in state compliance. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications: Doctorate degree in physical therapy. Physical Therapy experience; new graduates welcome. Other certifications or licenses as required. Summary: The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. They create personalized, evidence‑based treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy to help patients recover and become independent. The role requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, critical thinking, and a commitment to high‑quality, safe patient care. Essential Work Functions: Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, examinations, and history. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques. Operate specialized equipment and modalities safely and ensure proper maintenance. Assess progress, adjust plans, and document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other professionals. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management techniques. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines. Engage in quality assurance and professional development activities. Collaborate in discharge planning for smooth transitions. Perform other duties within scope of practice. Required Essential Skills: Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills. English language reading, writing, and communication. Read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions; proficiency in PC skills. Physical Abilities: Must be able to remain stationary, move around, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Interpersonal Skills: Must work effectively with a variety of personnel, presenting a positive attitude and professionalism. Technical/Motor Skills: Must grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move when assisting with procedures or using equipment. Mental Requirements: Must cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work under close supervision occasionally, handle irregular activity schedules, and maintain concentration on detail.
