Invitation Homes, a leading owner and operator of single‑family rental homes, is seeking a Real Estate Accountant to support accurate financial reporting across our growing portfolio. In this role, you will manage property‑level ledgers, prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, reconcile accounts, and assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. You will collaborate with operations, asset management, and corporate teams to ensure timely, GAAP‑compliant reporting. Responsibilities Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual property‑level financial statements Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts for assigned properties Ensure GAAP‑compliant accounting for real estate transactions, revenue, and expenses Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for the property portfolio Collaborate with operations and asset management to resolve accounting issues Assist with internal and external audits, providing schedules and supporting documentation Monitor and improve accounting processes and controls for scalability Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as needed Analyze financial performance and provide insights to management Ensure timely and accurate reporting to meet corporate and regulatory deadlines Required Skills Real estate accounting Property‑level financial reporting General ledger management GAAP compliance Budgeting and forecasting Variance analysis Account reconciliation Excel and financial modeling ERP/accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, JD Edwards) Financial audit support #J-18808-Ljbffr American Accounting Association
