Staff Accountant

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Dade City, FL that is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the month-end close process, account reconciliations, and financial reporting activities across a diverse portfolio of businesses, including retail, real estate, landscaping, and construction operations. This role is ideal for an accounting professional looking to continue developing their skills while gaining exposure to a multi-entity business environment.Responsibilities:

• Prepare and complete monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies
• Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed
• Support the month-end close process and related accounting functions
• Maintain ownership of assigned balance sheet accounts, including reconciliations and analysis
• Process and reconcile intercompany transactions across multiple entities
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies, variances, and data inconsistencies
• Support process improvement initiatives and help maintain accurate financial records within the ERP system
• Collaborate with accounting leadership to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and account reconciliations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams
• Experience with Sage Intacct preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally and thrive in a collaborative environment
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
