Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) Animal Emergency and Specialty Center is a 24‑hour emergency hospital located in Reno, Nevada, serving patients from over 75 referring hospitals across Northern Nevada and California. We provide critical care, surgery, chemotherapy, and rehabilitation services. We are seeking veterinary doctors who deliver exceptional medicine, prioritize patient care, and communicate clearly with clients, especially during critical situations. Responsibilities Perform emergency and critical care examinations, diagnostics, and medical procedures. Conduct typical emergency surgical procedures such as GDV, gastrointestinal foreign body removal, and pyometra removal. Provide client communication during critical situations. Support the team with positive feedback, teach, and contribute ideas for improving patient and client care. Work a 3‑day work week schedule that includes evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts. Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). Ability to practice exceptional medicine with a strong focus on patient care. Strong communication skills for client interactions. Positive, ethical, and team‑supportive attitude. New graduates are encouraged; mentorship provided. Benefits Generous compensation paying 27% of gross monthly receipts, typically $250,000 or more. Signing bonus of $35,000 with a 1‑year DVM agreement. Relocation reimbursement up to $8,000 for moving to the Reno area. Paid licenses and dues. Generous continuing education package.
