Cardinal Staffing Services is hiring Machinists for a renowned steel manufacturing facility in the Maumee, OH area. As a Machinist, you will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment at a well-established steel factory that cuts steel to precise specifications and ships materials to companies that use the steel to machine and create finished parts. Machinists will be responsible for operating machinery, working with steel products, taking accurate measurements, and ensuring materials are cut to the required specifications.

The ideal candidate will have experience using a tape measure, be comfortable working with measurements and fractions, and be able to convert fractions into decimals. Previous manufacturing or machining experience is preferred, but candidates who demonstrate strong mechanical ability and a willingness to learn and train are encouraged to apply.

Cardinal Staffing Services is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($19–$22 per hour based on experience) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire.

Available shifts include:

• 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00pm–11:00pm
• 3rd Shift: Monday–Friday, 11:00pm–7:00am
• Training: Employees hired for 2nd or 3rd shift will train on 1st shift, Monday–Friday from 7:00am–3:00pm, before transitioning to their assigned shift.
• Overtime may be available based on business needs.

Responsibilities of the Machinist:

• Operate manufacturing machinery to cut steel to precise specifications.
• Accurately measure steel products using a tape measure and other measuring tools.
• Read and understand measurements, including fractions and decimals.
• Convert fractional measurements into decimals when necessary.
• Inspect materials to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards.
• Follow production procedures and safety protocols.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work efficiently to meet production goals.
• Use basic hand tools and equipment as required.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Learn and follow new processes and procedures through hands-on training.

Required Qualifications of the Machinist:

• Previous manufacturing, machining, or factory experience preferred.
• Strong experience using a tape measure and working with precise measurements.
• Ability to understand fractions and convert fractions into decimals.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced factory environment.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to safely operate machinery and follow all company safety procedures.
• Willingness to learn new skills and participate in training.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work a 2nd or 3rd shift schedule after completing 1st shift training.
• Interest in a long-term position and career growth within a manufacturing environment.
