Job Duties
As a Quality Assurance Technician 2, you will be responsible for the following key tasks:
- Test, inspect, and measure products, materials, and processes using precision measuring equipment to evaluate conformance with specifications.
- Perform pilot run inspections and complete comprehensive First Article Inspections.
- Conduct Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities, including investigating non-conforming product and creating material reports.
- Support the development and implementation of inspection plans, making recommendations for process improvements based on data.
- Train operators, new-hires, and contract workers on modern inspection techniques and the correct use of gauges.
Schedule
Monday through Thursday, 3:00 PM-1:30 AM
Pay
$24-$26 per hour
Requirements
The ideal Quality Assurance Technician 2 must meet these core qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate.
- Three or more years of prior Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD and T) experience, with proficiency in reading blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Quality Technician Certification (CQT) or Quality Inspector Certification (CQI) from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) is preferred.
- Proficient understanding of final acceptance activities, manufacturing data systems (such as SAP), and Statistical Process Control.
- Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, gauge pins, and optical comparators.
