Content Writer

Remote (US preferred) Contract $50,000 – $75,000 / yr

About the Role

We need a Content Writer who can translate technical software concepts into language that small business owners actually connect with. You will write blog posts, case studies, landing page copy, and email sequences that drive inbound traffic and support the sales team. No jargon, no fluff - just clear writing that demonstrates how software solves real business problems.

Responsibilities

• Write 2-4 blog posts per week targeting SMB pain points and software solutions
• Create case studies and success stories from client projects
• Write and refine landing page copy for services, industries, and tools pages
• Develop email sequences for lead nurturing and client onboarding
• Research industry trends and competitor content to identify content gaps
• Optimize all content for SEO, including keyword research and meta descriptions

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional content writing experience, preferably in B2B or SaaS
• Strong command of plain, direct language without corporate jargon
• Understanding of SEO fundamentals including on-page optimization and keyword strategy
• Ability to interview subject matter experts and turn conversations into compelling content
• Self-directed with the ability to manage an editorial calendar independently

Nice to Have

• Experience writing for software companies, agencies, or tech consultancies
• Familiarity with content marketing tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Clearscope
• Portfolio samples showing work in B2B, software, or professional services
• Understanding of how small businesses buy software and technology services
