- # Monitor TechApplylocations: Lexington, KYtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: R26105285**Summary****Job Description:****Monitor Technician**Full Time I Night ShiftEmergency Department I Lexington, KYAn Emergency department (ED) that provides 24-hour emergency care to patients who need urgent medical attention for severe injuries or illness.**Description:*** Monitor Technician provides continuous observation and interpretation of cardiac rhythms with documentation and communication of pertinent arrhythmias and changes in rate, rhythm, NBP, and/or oxygen saturation to nurse responsible.* Observes cardiac monitor, oxygen saturation and Blood pressure. Maintains equipment and supplies.* Documents and communicate information regarding patient rhythms and Oxygen saturations, and blood pressure.* Responsible for identification of patient arrhythmias, abnormalities, or significant changes from baseline and reporting on the condition of patient/client to the appropriate supervisor or other health care team members.* Responsible for assisting providers with cardiac monitoring, therapeutic measures, and procedures related to cardiac monitoring.**Requirements:*** High school diploma or equivalent.* Less than one year's experience.* RN License, LPN, prior monitor tech experience (substitute for degree)* Dysrhythmia courses are completed during orientation and recertified annually.* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
