About the Position

Job Title

NICU/PICU Respiratory Therapist

Location

Allentown, PA | NICU/PICU

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 4x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend and holiday required | No on-call requirement

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy care in a 40-bed Level IV NICU and pediatric unit, floating between neonatal and pediatrics based on facility need
• Perform and assist with Bubble CPAP, CPAP/Nasal CPAP, and BIPAP therapies
• Assist with intubation and perform extubation procedures
• Document patient care and clinical information using Epic (preferred)
• Care for critically ill and extremely premature neonatal and pediatric patients in a high-acuity academic teaching environment

Required Qualifications

• Valid Pennsylvania Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required at time of submission
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Level 3 or higher NICU, or 1+ year of PICU experience
• PA Fingerprints required prior to start
• Local candidates are welcome; candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local rate differential

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification preferred
• Experience with Epic charting system
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
