Beachmont Behavioral Health is seeking a passionate Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team as a Clinical Supervisor . This leadership role is ideal for a clinician who enjoys mentoring staff, partnering with families, and helping children, adolescents, and adults achieve meaningful improvements in communication, independence, safety, and quality of life. We provide services from east Ventura County to Goleta, CA. We are looking for 3 BCBAs to help us cover the care provided across these areas. 

What You'll Do

• Conduct behavioral assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Write, train, and oversee implementation of function-based Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
• Train and coach Behavior Technicians and Behavior Assistants on skill acquisition and behavior reduction procedures.
• Provide supervision, performance feedback, and professional development to clinical staff.
• Deliver caregiver training to support treatment generalization and long-term success.
• Analyze data and make treatment recommendations.
• Lead crisis prevention and crisis management training for staff.
• Collaborate with families, schools, healthcare providers, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensure compliance with ethical, regulatory, payer, and organizational requirements.

Service Settings & Population Served

Clinical Supervisors oversee ABA services for children, adolescents, and adults in:

• Health Insurance & Regional Center Funded
• Homes
• Daycare and preschool programs
• Schools
• Community settings
• Center-based settings (where applicable)
• Telehealth

Caseload & Productivity Expectations

Traditional BCBA Model

• Manage approximately 10-12 clients
• Conduct assessments, treatment planning, supervision, and caregiver training

Three-Tier Clinical Model

• Oversee approximately 16-20 clients
• Provide clinical leadership to Behavior Assistants and Behavior Technicians while maintaining responsibility for treatment quality and client outcomes

Productivity

• Minimum 100 billable hours per month
• Complete assessments, treatment plans, reports, and documentation within required timelines
• Actively support and develop clinical staff while ensuring treatment fidelity and safe implementation of behavior management procedures

Realistic Job Preview

Clinical Supervisors support individuals who may engage in:

• Elopement
• Aggression (hitting, kicking, pushing, pinching, scratching, and biting)
• Property destruction
• Self-injurious behavior
• Severe tantrums
• Emotional dysregulation
• Noncompliance and refusal behaviors

These behaviors are often the reason ABA services are medically necessary. Clinical Supervisors are responsible for developing evidence-based, function-based interventions, training staff and caregivers, and ensuring treatment is implemented with compassion, consistency, and clinical integrity.

Qualifications

Required

• Active BCBA certification in good standing
• Master's degree in ABA, Psychology, Education, or related field
• Experience developing and supervising ABA treatment programs
• Experience writing function-based Behavior Intervention Plans
• Experience training and supervising direct-care staff
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between service locations

Preferred

• Experience providing caregiver training
• Experience supervising BCBA trainees and fieldwork students
• Experience working across home, school, daycare, clinic, and community settings
• Experience within tiered-service delivery models
• Experience in crisis prevention and behavior reduction programming
