Duration - 13 Weeeks

Requirements

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
Active New York State Speech-Language Pathologist license required
Current resume required for submission
Must successfully complete background check and fingerprinting prior to assignment start

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an Inpatient Rehabilitation setting in New York State. The ideal candidate will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders while working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.

Responsibilities

Assess and treat speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive, and communication disorders
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support patient recovery and functional independence
Participate in multidisciplinary rehabilitation programs and care planning
Recommend additional therapeutic services and interventions when appropriate
Conduct evaluations and prepare detailed clinical reports
Present findings and recommendations to healthcare teams and other stakeholders as needed
Evaluate and recommend alternative or augmentative communication systems
Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment goals and communication strategies
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements
Participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in inpatient rehabilitation settings
Strong knowledge of speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing rehabilitation
Experience working with adult rehabilitation populations
Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
