Finance Manager – FP&A & Commercial Finance Location: Downey, CA (5 days onsite) About the Opportunity We are partnering with a well-established, $400M, private equity-backed manufacturer and distributor serving customers across North America. With an extensive product portfolio, nationwide operations, and a long-standing leadership position within its industry, the company is continuing to invest in its finance organization as it enters its next phase of growth. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this is a highly visible role for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys partnering directly with the business. Rather than simply reporting financial results, you'll help influence pricing strategy, evaluate customer and product profitability, improve forecasting, and provide actionable insights that drive better business decisions. The Role The Finance Manager will serve as a key business partner across Sales, Operations, Procurement, Marketing, and executive leadership. This individual will own core FP&A responsibilities while playing an active role in commercial finance, helping leadership understand the drivers behind revenue, gross margin, pricing, customer profitability, and overall business performance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to move beyond traditional FP&A into a highly strategic, business-facing finance role. Key Responsibilities Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for revenue, volume, and gross margin Partner cross-functionally to support pricing decisions, customer negotiations, and commercial initiatives Analyze customer, product, channel, and branch profitability to identify growth opportunities and improve margins Develop financial models, dashboards, KPI reporting, and executive-level presentations Perform price-volume-mix analysis and provide insight into revenue and profitability drivers Identify risks and opportunities within forecasts while delivering actionable recommendations to leadership Drive reporting enhancements, automation initiatives, and continuous process improvements Qualifications Required 5+ years of progressive FP&A, Commercial Finance, Sales Finance, or Corporate Finance experience Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis experience Background within manufacturing, consumer products, food & beverage, distribution, or another product-oriented industry Experience partnering closely with cross-functional business leaders Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities Preferred Experience with pricing, customer profitability, or gross margin analysis Exposure to BI, reporting, or data visualization tools Experience working with large transactional datasets Preferred MBA, CPA, or other advanced finance credentials Why This Opportunity Highly visible role reporting directly to Finance leadership Significant cross-functional exposure across Sales, Operations, Procurement, and Marketing Opportunity to influence commercial strategy—not just report financial results Blend of strategic finance and hands-on analytical work Stable, established business with continued investment and long-term growth opportunities Collaborative environment where finance plays a key role in business decision-making #J-18808-Ljbffr Conexus
