Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a temporary assignment. This role includes the potential to float to various units, specifically J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department (ED), to care for patients with similar needs.

Contract Duration

18 weeks of winter coverage available

13-week assignments also accepted

Shift Details

Shifts will rotate between day and night, specifically:

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Shifts may be subject to change based on the operational needs of the facility, with efforts made to honor preferred shift requests whenever possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a medical-surgical telemetry environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and ECG rhythms.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and ensure timely documentation.
• Assist in the care of patients in the emergency department when required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid nursing license in Ohio or a compact state.
• Minimum of 12 months of permanent nursing experience in the specialty applying for.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS from the AHA or American Red Cross are required.
• Must be available to work at least every other holiday during the assignment.

Additional Information

During orientation, travelers will complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and a SafeMedicate assessment; a satisfactory score on both tests is mandatory for continued employment.
