- Respond to requests from the Deputy Director of Research and Resourcing to support technical, capacity-strengthening activities on-site.
- Directly supervise the Field Crew Leader, Facilities Manager, and Equipment Operator and Irrigation Technician.
- Set clear expectations, assign priorities, coach team members, and conduct regular performance conversations and evaluations.
- Build a healthy, Christ-centered team culture marked by communication, accountability, service, and collaboration.
- Ensure staff receive appropriate training, tools, safety instruction, and support to perform their work effectively.
- Coordinate staffing and work schedules to meet routine needs, seasonal demands, special events, and emergency situations.
- Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance for site buildings, utilities, roads, drainage, irrigation infrastructure, vehicles, tools, and equipment.
- Develop and maintain inspection schedules, maintenance records, service agreements, and replacement plans.
- Coordinate contractors, vendors, permitting, and repair work while monitoring quality, cost, and timeliness.
- Support planning and implementation of capital improvements, renovations, and site development projects.
- Ensure buildings, systems, and grounds meet organizational standards for safety, accessibility, hospitality, and responsible stewardship.
- Supervise and support the Field Crew Leader in establishing priorities for agricultural field operations and demonstration areas.
- Ensure field operations support research, seed banking, training, tours, events, and the overall visitor experience.
- Coordinate with the Field Crew Leader on seasonal plans, equipment needs, irrigation infrastructure, weather preparation, and major field projects.
- Review field conditions and operational needs regularly, while allowing the Field Crew Leader to lead daily agricultural execution.
- Develop and manage operating budgets for site operations, maintenance, and field activities.
- Review expenditures, approve purchases within assigned authority, and steward organizational resources responsibly.
- Manage vendor relationships and help secure competitive pricing for services, equipment, and supplies.
- Contribute to long-term capital planning and provide clear cost estimates and recommendations for site improvements.
- Maintain appropriate inventories of tools, equipment, parts, and supplies.
- Lead implementation of site safety practices in coordination with Human Resources and the Safety Committee.
- Ensure staff follow applicable laws, regulations, organizational policies, and safe operating procedures.
- Maintain emergency response plans for severe weather, fire, utility failure, equipment incidents, and other site risks.
- Coordinate required inspections, certifications, documentation, and corrective action related to site operations.
- Promote a culture in which staff identify hazards, communicate concerns, and take timely action.

- Coordinate operational preparation for tours, workshops, donor visits, conferences, work teams, and special events.
- Support volunteers and work teams by helping ensure projects are appropriate, organized, safe, and adequately supervised.
- Stay informed about ECHO's global work and communicate how the Florida site supports the mission and network.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Deputy Director of Engagement.
- Must adhere to the ECHO Statement of Faith and possess character traits consistent with ECHO's Core Values.
- Demonstrated ability to lead people, manage competing priorities, delegate effectively, and hold teams accountable.
- Strong working knowledge of facilities maintenance, grounds management, building systems, equipment, and operational safety.

- Excellent relational, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
