RN In Progressive Care UnitJob Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1-2 years of recent PCU/Progressive Care experience License: RN License Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Strong neuro assessment and cardiac monitoring skills Description: This position supports the adult inpatient division. Travelers will be preassigned to a primary unit but will be the first to float based on staffing needs. Preassigned units may change during the assignment as census, acuity, and staffing needs evolve. Travelers should expect to float across inpatient areas based on staffing needs. Common diagnoses include stroke evaluation, chest pain, arrhythmias, CHF, respiratory failure, AKI, GI bleeding, and postoperative care. Travelers should be comfortable with CPAP, high-flow oxygen, telemetry monitoring, ECGs, and escalation of clinical changes. Scheduling is based on division staffing needs and requires flexibility. Minimum four weekend shifts per six-week schedule are expected. Holiday coverage will be based on hospital need.
