Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $ 2414.20 Opportunity: RN - Women's Services / Labor & Delivery Job Details: • Work in a Labor & Delivery unit with 9 L&D beds, 3 swing rooms, 2 ORs, and a 3-bed OBED • Patient ratio of 1:2 • 4 weekend shifts required per month • Float to mother/baby unit or outside department to task as needed • Maintain patient experience scores above 75% • Circulate in OR and perform procedures including IUPC, FSE, MgSO4, postpartum hemorrhage management using the JADA system, and nitrous oxide administration • Utilize documentation systems CPN and Meditech • Work alongside unit secretary, scrub tech, dedicated CRNA, and midwife in-house 24/7, with OBGYN on call • Must demonstrate drive to provide highest quality of care to laboring patients and ability to support patient choice and promote vaginal birth opportunities • Advanced skills in Spinning Babies and STABLE preferred • Required certifications: RN, ACLS, BLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring • Required dress code: Hot pink and black; black on bottom with hot pink on top preferred Facility: This award-winning facility, recognized as an HCA Unit of Distinction in 2021 and a TIPQC Pilot Hospital for NTSV and Team Birth, operates using a laborist team model with 24/7 midwives, dedicated CRNAs, and on-call OB physicians. The Women's Services unit is committed to personalizing each birth experience to the patient's desires and needs. The facility offers couplet care in its postpartum unit to keep newborns at the bedside and supports breastfeeding with access to donor milk when needed. An 8-bed Level 2 NICU with a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner dedicated to the unit 24/7 is also available, with NNP attendance at all high-risk deliveries when needed.
