Description: The position requires a qualified physical therapist in an acute care setting. The primary patient population will be geriatrics on general medicine floors. Expect high acuity patients in a regional referral center. Responsibilities include assessment, evaluation, and implementation of care plans. Candidates should be proficient in adaptive devices, bed alarms, and patient mobility. Experience with a variety of patient diagnoses, including degenerative joint disease and post-operative rehabilitation, is essential. The position requires strong time management and communication skills. The therapist will monitor vital signs and skin integrity during patient care. Collaboration within an interdisciplinary team is expected. Participation in discharge planning and reassessment is part of the role. The environment is fast-paced and requires thorough documentation using an electronic charting system. The candidate must adhere to all safety protocols and maintain professional standards.
