Job Title Guest Service Associate Job Details Compensation: $17-$18 per hour plus tips, $2 shift differential for overnight. Work schedule: Monday through Sunday. Benefits: Accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, telemedicine benefits and eligibility for a 401(k) retirement plan subject to employment criteria. Seasonal and temporary roles are not eligible. Summary The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner, including parking and retrieving guest vehicles, assisting with luggage, delivering messages, and providing information about the facility and surrounding attractions. Responsibilities Maintain a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients; greet guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor and use guest last names during interactions. Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location, practice proper phone etiquette, and remain in designated areas when not completing tasks. Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously; assist guests with bell services, luggage storage and open vehicle and hotel doors. Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries; provide information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities and main attractions; deliver messages, items or guest amenities as requested. Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival; issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys; collect claim checks before issuing keys; complete and maintain all ticket information and calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when required. Qualifications Education: High-school diploma or GED. Licensure: Valid driver's license for the state of employment, or within a commutable distance. Experience: One month related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge: Principles and processes of customer and personal services. Skills: Read and write standard English; read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos; write simple correspondence; present information in one-on-one and small group situations. Add, subtract, multiply and divide three-digit numbers and perform operations with money; understand 24-hour and military time systems; understand rates applicable to time passed. Desirable: Operate a manual transmission and perform parallel parking. Authority to Act The job is fairly routine. Incumbents follow established practices and procedures; duties are performed with specific directions and work is checked or verified frequently. Decisions are made within operational instructions and departmental guidelines. Budget Responsibility The employee has control only over the resources available to them. Working Conditions & Physical Demands The role requires speaking or hearing regularly, sitting or standing for extended periods, running, walking, handling objects, using hands and arms, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling. Vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Lifting requirements: up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, up to 20 pounds constantly. Environment Most work occurs outdoors for extended periods with exposure to extreme heat and cold; weather protection may be supplied. Travel Up to 5% travel may be required.
