Schedule: Full-Time, 37.5 Hours per Week

Position Overview

We're seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students in a resource classroom setting serving grades 6-12. This role involves providing specialized instruction in small groups, managing caseloads, documenting student progress, and collaborating closely with the special education team.

The ideal candidate is comfortable supporting middle and high school students across core academic subjects and is passionate about helping students achieve meaningful growth.

What You'll Be Doing

+ Provide specialized instruction to students in small-group resource settings

+ Implement IEP goals and monitor student progress

+ Manage special education caseloads and maintain required documentation

+ Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff

+ Participate in planning meetings and student support discussions

+ Support students academically, socially, and emotionally

+ Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment

What We're Looking For

+ Arizona Special Education Certification covering the assigned grade levels

+ Content Area or Generalist Certification for Grades 6

+ Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

+ Experience with case management, progress monitoring, and IEP implementation preferred

+ Strong collaboration and communication skills

Compensation

$50/hour for local candidates

Travel packages may be available for qualified candidates.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred

+ Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations

+ Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred

+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred

+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred

+ State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred

+ Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

+ Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

+ Current CPR if applicable

+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
