Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support high school students in a resource classroom setting in El Mirage, AZ. This is an excellent opportunity for an educator who is passionate about helping students achieve academic success through individualized instruction, collaboration, and student-centered support.

The ideal candidate is committed to creating an inclusive learning environment, partnering with families and school staff, and helping students build the skills and confidence needed for success both in school and beyond graduation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction and academic support to students receiving special education services.

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers.

• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.

• Monitor student performance and document progress toward IEP goals.

• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.

• Foster a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment.

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and district special education requirements.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university preferred.

• Valid state teaching certification as required by state and district regulations.

• Special Education Teaching Certification preferred and may be required by the district.

• Minimum of one year of teaching experience preferred.

• Current CPR certification, if applicable.

• TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray, if applicable.

• Current health certificate, if required.

• Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Compliance with all professional standards of practice.

Compensation

Local Candidates

Travel Candidates

?? Up to $2,170 Weekly Gross Pay Package

?? Includes eligible weekly stipends:

• $720 Housing Stipend

• $450 Meals & Incidentals Stipend
