Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Arizona Mild/Moderate or Cross-Categorical teaching license required
• Proven background as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting
• Strong knowledge of IEP processes and student-centered instructional strategies
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to a range of learner needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver resource-level special education services for students in alignment with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Assess student strengths and areas for growth, regularly updating documentation and progress reports
• Develop and implement differentiated lessons designed to maximize student engagement and achievement
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to support inclusive practices
• Maintain effective classroom management, creating a supportive and encouraging learning atmosphere
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, celebrating successes and strategizing on challenges

This contract position offers predictable hours: 7:45 AM – 2:45 PM Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday; and 7:45 AM – 12:45 PM on Thursdays—supporting work-life balance while giving you ample time to focus on your students’ success.
