Human Resources Generalist (Contract) - Job Description

Location: Saint Paul, MN. 3 days a week on-site.

Pay: $45-$55/hour

Schedule: 6 hours a day, Monday-Friday

Duration: 2-month Contract

Start Date: ASAP

HR Generalist (Contract Leave Coverage)

Client is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to provide temporary support during a leave of absence through September 15. This individual will play an important role in maintaining day-to-day HR operations for approximately 94 employees while working closely with leadership, managers, and staff throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, addressing employee inquiries and providing HR guidance.

Assist with talent acquisition activities as needed, although there are currently no active hiring needs.

Manage and administer employee leave programs, including FMLA, Workers' Compensation, and Minnesota Paid Family & Medical Leave (PFML).

Oversee benefits-related processes and collaborate with the organization's benefits brokerage partner.

Audit and review employee timekeeping records within Paylocity and prepare payroll information for final approval and processing by the CFO.

Maintain accurate employee records, personnel documentation, and HR compliance files.

Provide ongoing HR support and ensure continuity of operations throughout the leave coverage period.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a proactive, hands-on HR professional who can quickly integrate into the organization, establish strong working relationships, and confidently manage a broad range of human resources responsibilities. This individual will be comfortable operating independently while providing exceptional support to employees and leadership during this temporary assignment.
