About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a pivotal role in the organization's financial transformation and institutional growth. The CFO will be a key partner to the CEO, Board, and Leadership Team, responsible for financial strategy, revenue realization, and cash management. This hands-on executive will oversee financial compliance for a range of government contracts, lead efforts to diversify revenue, and ensure the organization's financial operations are robust and scalable. The successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial, mission-grounded financial executive with a strong background in nonprofit and government-funded programs, and a proven track record in financial leadership. Core responsibilities for the CFO include establishing and executing multi-year financial strategies, leading the organization towards financial sustainability, and building a diversified revenue engine. The role demands a leader with a deep understanding of government cost-reimbursement and performance contracts, as well as experience in scaling organizations and modernizing financial systems. The CFO will also be tasked with developing and supporting a compliant indirect-cost methodology, and building the financial architecture necessary to support the organization's growth. Strong leadership competencies are essential, including the ability to be a hands-on, analytical, and exceptional systems builder, as well as a teacher and talent developer. The ideal candidate will have a long-term, institution-building orientation and a genuine interest in developing the next generation of leaders within the organization.
