About the Position

Job Title: RN - ICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years current acute care ICU hospital experience License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Minimum 1-year current acute care ICU hospital experience. ACLS, BLS & NIH certifications are required. Description: The position is for a Travel RN in the ICU. The unit has a total of 16 beds and is staffed by 60 healthcare professionals. Day shift consists of 1 Charge RN, 8 RNs, and 1 Patient Care Technician. Night shift consists of 1 Charge RN, 8 RNs, and 1 Patient Care Technician. The patient ratio is 1 RN to 2 patients. Typical equipment used includes cardiac monitoring devices, ventilators, IV pumps, and tube feed pumps. The Electronic Medical Records system used is Meditech. Typical procedures performed on the unit include intubations and central line placements. The best personality fit is a collaborative team player. Candidates with experience in medical ICU and neuro populations will be considered first. Prior Meditech experience is preferred but not required.
