Senior Bioinformatics Engineer

Developing cutting-edge genomic analysis tools and infrastructure, the full-time Senior Bioinformatics Engineer will work remotely to build scalable data processing pipelines and optimize performance for clinical-grade whole genome data. Key responsibilities Design, build, and maintain scalable pipelines for processing and analyzing genomic data Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate scientific findings into consumer-friendly genetic insights Establish best practices for software engineering, data versioning, and testing across bioinformatics workflows Required qualifications 5+ years of experience in bioinformatics, computational biology, or a related field Strong hands-on experience with genomic datasets and file formats such as VCF, BAM, and FASTQ Proficient in Python, SQL, and C#, with a proven track record of writing maintainable code Experience building scalable systems on cloud platforms, particularly AWS Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
