Customer Service RepresentativeJob Type: Contract Location: Newark, NJ Pay Rate: Up to $19/hour Shift: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PMJob SummaryWe are seeking a Customer Service Representative to support customers, business partners, and delivery teams while ensuring a smooth and positive delivery experience.This role is ideal for someone with strong customer service and problem-solving skills who can manage multiple priorities, resolve issues professionally, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist customers and business partners via phone and email.Handle customer complaints and concerns in a calm and professional manner.Diagnose, assess, and resolve customer and delivery-related issues.Monitor the progress of delivery routes and provide appropriate updates.Scan haul-away pods and verify required stamps.Process changes, updates, and cancellations to delivery orders.Coordinate with drivers and internal teams to resolve delivery issues.Maintain accurate information and documentation throughout the customer interaction.Qualifications1+ year of related customer service experience, preferably in a call center environment.High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Strong customer service and communication skills.Ability to effectively investigate and resolve customer issues.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet customer service expectations.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.What We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate is:Customer-focused and professional.Comfortable communicating with customers, business partners, and drivers.A strong problem solver who can assess situations and determine appropriate solutions.Organized and able to manage multiple requests simultaneously.Comfortable working in a fast-paced delivery and operations environment.Detail-oriented when processing delivery changes, cancellations, and route information.
