About the Opportunity


A well-established cardiovascular practice in the Albany, NY area is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join its growing Inpatient Cardiology team.

This is a hospital-based position focused exclusively on inpatient cardiology care. Providers will manage cardiology service patients, perform routine and urgent cardiac consults, respond to pages, and work closely with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams. A cardiologist is always available on-call for urgent clinical support.

Schedule


• Full-Time Position

• Two 14-hour shifts and one 12-hour shift per week (Flexible, can be discussed)

• Primarily overnight coverage

• Occasional daytime shifts (8:00 AM - 6:00 PM)

• Rotating weekends and holidays

• Flexible scheduling

Responsibilities


• Manage inpatient cardiology patients

• Perform routine and urgent cardiac consultations

• Respond to hospital pages and patient care needs

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and hospital staff

• Develop and implement treatment plans

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered cardiac care

Qualifications

Required:


• Active New York State Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license

• Board Certification

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Preferred:


• Cardiology experience

• Critical care experience
