Position Overview Type: Full-time and part-time options, on-site Start: Next school year Caseload: K-12, group instruction Location: Windsor, CO Job Description As a Sign Language Interpreter, you will facilitate communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their hearing peers, teachers, and staff. Your primary duties will include: Providing accurate and effective interpretation of spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa. Supporting students in understanding classroom instruction, participating in discussions, and engaging in school activities. Collaborating with teachers to adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet the needs of deaf or hard-of-hearing students. Assisting in the development of individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensuring that accommodations are effectively implemented. Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to educators, parents, and other stakeholders. Participating in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in ASL interpretation and education.
