Donor Center Technician

Conduct pre-donation medical screening Interact with donors and respond to customer needs Assess donor suitability and engage in set-up Provide appropriate feedback to ineligible donor candidates Ensure all donor screening information is complete Ensure donor confidentiality Perform a wide range of complex tasks in a plasma center under variable demands and changing conditions Relate sensitive information to diverse groups Requirements A High School diploma or GED Ability to work a flexible schedule Superior customer service standards Obtains required state licensures or certifications where applicable Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions Ability to listen to and understand information presented through spoken words and sentences Ability to perform precise coordinated finger, hand, and wrist movements Ability to lift 15 lbs. routinely, with a maximum lift of 50 lbs. Ability to work in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical equipment, and extreme cold Ability to use required personal protective equipment, including protective eyewear, garments, gloves, and cold gear Hearing acuity essential; correctable near and far vision and color perception/discrimination Ability to sit or stand for an entire shift, bend, twist, reach, squat, crouch, or sit on heels as needed Core Competencies Demonstrates the ability to conduct pre-donation medical screenings and assess donor suitability while ensuring donor confidentiality and superior customer service.
