Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Every 3rd Weekend | Holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized inpatient rehabilitation nursing care for patients with CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injuries, neurological diagnoses, and generalized debility, including post-stroke, post-aneurysm, and post-operative surgical cases
• Perform clinical skills including dressing changes, aseptic/sterile procedure tray setup, capillary blood draws, phlebotomy, and specimen labeling and collection (throat, urine UA clean catch)
• Interpret laboratory results, perform medication reconciliation, and document patient health questionnaire history, allergies, and vital signs (blood pressure, respirations, temperature, pulse)
• Handle telephone triage and pharmacy calls including patient refill requests
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:6, with rotating assignments of up to 7 patients of equivalent acuity
• Float to other health system campuses as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license — must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience — first-time travelers are not eligible
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• Third-party education verification required; degrees from schools on the Florida Diploma Fraud Audit list will not be accepted
• No open background check cases permitted
• Current driver's license required to verify address
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with the application; no post-submission RTO will be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Acute Care Rehabilitation nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience caring for patients with neurological diagnoses, spinal cord injuries, or post-surgical rehabilitation needs
