SUD Counselor

The Substance Use Disorder Counselor is responsible for managing an assigned caseload of adults diagnosed with substance use disorders. The incumbent is responsible for providing substance use counseling and the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) as well as working with Agency staff and other community resources in meeting client service needs. This job description is based upon an evaluation of agency requirements at the time this description was written. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree earned from an accredited college or university in relevant human services required. At least one year of experience working with clients with substance use disorders to satisfy Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) and CSAC requirements. Registered CSAC supervisee under supervision for CSAC certification required upon hire. Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and the ability to provide your own transportation.
