Job Description

Derrick Corporation is seeking reliable and safety-minded General Production Associates who thrive in an active production setting. Team members will be cross-trained in a variety of departments including Assembly, Layout, Motor/Machine, Industrial Painting, Screen Cloth, Shipping, and Urethane, and play a key role in meeting daily production goals.

At Derrick Corporation, our journey began over seven decades ago when H. William Derrick Jr. laid the foundation in 1951 in Buffalo, NY for a legacy that now stretches across the globe. Today, we proudly stand as a third-generation, family-owned and operated organization with over 600 associates worldwide. This year, 2026 marks our 75th year in operation, which speaks to our enduring legacy and global presence.

Responsibilities

Following work instructions to meet job specifications
Adhering to all safety regulations
Cleaning and maintaining all equipment
Measuring to confirm equipment parts meet specifications
Loading and unloading materials in a safe manner
Operating various equipment and/or machinery
Assembly of heavy components using hand and power tools
Reading blueprints to ensure work is being performed to specifications
Checking tolerances and dimensions to ensure quality standards are being met
Make a positive contribution to maintaining a workplace that is healthy, safe, neat and tidy

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED (Bachelor's degree also welcomed)
Reliability and strong attendance history
Ability to learn quickly and take direction from Leads and Supervisors
Ability to read a tape measure
Math skills to work with addition, subtraction, fractions, and decimals
Desire to be cross trained in different departments and in different skills
Positive attitude
Teamwork skills
Driver’s License highly preferred

Derrick Corporation has a standard work week of 47.5 hours . Associates are also paid overtime daily for anything over 8 hours.

DAY SHIFT: 7am - 5pm Monday - Friday.

NIGHT SHIFT: 9pm – 7am Sunday - Thursday.

Full-time and non-exempt.
