Job Title: Registered Nurse

Experience: 2 years in ICU; high acuity preferred

License: WA or Compact License

Certifications: BLS, ACLS

Must-Have:
MUST have EPIC experience.
MUST have prior floating experience.

Description:
The High Acuity Float Pool specializes in critical care.
Assignments may include various units such as Medical, Surgical, Neuro, and Cardiac.
Nurse to patient ratios typically follow AACN CCU staffing standards.
Assignments are 1-2 patients depending on acuity.
RNs may have up to 3 patients if acuity is lower.
Common diagnoses range across various medical and surgical specialties.
RNs are required to help manage and titrate drips as needed.
Examples of titratable drips include Epi, Norepi, and Dobutamine.
Charge nurses do not take patient assignments.
Nurse aides are typically available on the unit with a standard ratio of 1-2.
Telemetry services are provided, with RNs responsible for reading strips.
Self-scheduling is permitted for RNs.
Weekend requirements include 3 weekend shifts per schedule.
Holiday shifts are also required.
There is no call or standby requirement.
Assignments are created by the Charge RN without bias.
The dress code for uniforms is royal blue.
General orientation and specialty training will be provided.
The facility maintains a cancellation policy for shifts.
Charting is completed using EPIC.
