Associate Attorney

DescriptionWe are looking for an Associate Attorney to join a civil litigation practice in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is suited for a newer licensed attorney who can manage casework with confidence, contribute to litigation strategy, and support matters through key pre-trial activities. The position offers the opportunity to handle meaningful legal assignments, including motion practice and deposition preparation, while working closely with a broader legal team. There is also plenty of opportunity for growth.Responsibilities:• Manage civil litigation matters from initial case assessment through ongoing pre-trial development.• Prepare, revise, and file persuasive legal motions, briefs, and related court submissions.• Conduct and defend depositions while analyzing testimony to strengthen case strategy.• Perform legal research and apply findings to case planning, written arguments, and client recommendations.• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to organize evidence, monitor deadlines, and advance active matters.• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a thorough and timely manner.• Assist with hearing and trial preparation by developing case materials, exhibits, and supporting documentation.Requirements• Active license to practice law in Georgia.• Demonstrated experience handling civil litigation matters in a law firm or similar legal setting.• Proven ability to draft motions and other formal legal documents with accuracy and clarity.• Experience taking and defending depositions as part of active litigation.• Strong legal research, analytical, and written advocacy skills.• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced practice.• Clear, detail-oriented communication skills and sound judgment; competent legal writer.Job typePerm
