Position Summary

BUILDMyplace is seeking a driven, customer-focused Outside Sales Representative to develop relationships with contractors, builders, developers, trade professionals, and other commercial customers throughout the Louisville market.

This is a high-energy, performance-driven sales role for someone who enjoys building relationships, creating new business opportunities, and helping customers find the right products and solutions for their building and remodeling projects. The ideal candidate is a proactive hunter who takes ownership of results while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

What You’ll Do

• Build trusted relationships with contractors, builders, developers, plumbers, electricians, handymen, property owners, and other trade professionals.
• Proactively develop new business through outbound calls, field prospecting, referrals, networking, and customer and jobsite visits.
• Manage and grow sales territory within approximately 100 miles of the Louisville showroom.
• Understand each customer's business, projects, and product needs and recommend solutions that create value.
• Sell interior building and remodeling products, including flooring, cabinets, kitchen and bath products, and related solutions.
• Consistently follow up with prospects and customers to move opportunities through the sales process and generate repeat business.
• Overcome customer objections and confidently ask for the sale.
• Build a strong pipeline of new and existing customers while maintaining accurate sales activity and follow-up information.
• Use Salesforce and required sales tracking tools to document customer interactions, opportunities, activity, and results.
• Achieve and exceed established sales, activity, and performance goals.
• Represent BUILDMyplace professionally throughout the Louisville market and deliver customer experience that makes doing business with us easy.
• Takes on additional responsibilities and supports evolving business needs as opportunities arise.

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of successful outside sales experience with a demonstrated track record of strong performance.
• 2+ years of experience in home building/improvement, construction, restoration, plumbing, or a related industry preferred.
• 2+ years of experience working in a performance-driven sales environment with clearly defined metrics and goals.
• Experience prospecting and generating new business rather than relying solely on company-provided leads.

• Salesforce or similar CRM experience preferred.
• Comfortable using technology and required sales tracking applications to manage daily activity and performance.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned sales territory.
• Comfortable using your own computer and mobile phone for work.
• Flexible availability, including weekday evenings and Saturdays, to maximize customer connections and sales opportunities.
• Highly motivated by a performance-driven, uncapped commission opportunity.
