About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified Telemetry RN in Kansas City, Missouri, 64101!

• Provide direct patient care on a 29-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit with a 1:4 patient ratio, collaborating with Charge Nurses, Unit Secretaries, and PCTs
• Read and interpret EKGs and telemetry strips; monitor patients on continuous telemetry
• Provide post cardiac procedural care including ablations, cardiac catheterizations, Post-Op Day 1 Open Heart surgery, and permanent pacemaker placements
• Administer and titrate IV medications including insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone
• Perform and assist with procedures including IV insertions, NGT placement and maintenance, chest tube maintenance, temporary pacemaker management, and Foley insertions
• Deliver patient-centered care aligned with facility patient experience standards, including bedside shift report involvement, patient education, and responsive call light practices

• Active RN licensure (or eligibility to obtain licensure in Missouri)
• Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Telemetry, PCU, or ICU experience
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret EKGs and telemetry strips
• Experience administering and titrating IV cardiac and vasoactive medications
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Proficiency or ability to quickly adapt to Meditech documentation system

• Prior travel nursing experience in a cardiac or telemetry setting
• Familiarity with Alaris IV pumps, temporary pacemakers, wound vacs, and bladder scanners
• Experience using Imobile or similar team communication platforms
• Background in a fast-paced, high-acuity cardiac environment
