Air and Ocean Import Specialist

Atlanta, GA (Hybrid) I'm partnering with a client in the Atlanta area that is looking to add an Import Coordinator to their logistics team. This position is ideal for someone with experience in ocean imports, freight forwarding, air freight, drayage coordination, and international logistics operations who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while managing shipments from booking through final delivery. What You'll Be Doing: Coordinate ocean and air import shipments from booking through delivery Manage shipment tracking, documentation, and customer communication Work with carriers, freight forwarders, drayage providers, and internal teams Prepare and process import documentation, bills of lading, and shipment records Resolve shipment exceptions and equipment issues Audit freight invoices and support transportation cost management Maintain SOPs and carrier performance metrics Partner with logistics, customer service, production, and shipping teams What We're Looking For: 2+ years of ocean import experience Freight forwarding experience strongly preferred Knowledge of ocean, air, and truck transportation Experience coordinating international shipments and documentation Understanding of Incoterms and import processes preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Bachelor's degree preferred Ideal Backgrounds: Ocean Import Specialist Air & Ocean Operations Coordinator International Logistics Coordinator Ocean Operations Specialist
