Med/Surg Tele RN Job Details

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license – Iowa or compact state
  
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Medical/Surgical Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele) setting
  
• BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
  
• Ability to float within the Resource Pool as needed
  
• Compliance with all onboarding health and competency requirements (immunizations, background check)
  
• Strong communication, clinical, and critical thinking skills
  

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients on the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit
  
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, telemetry, and vital signs
  
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
  
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  
• Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and health management
  
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and patient safety standards
