$45,000+ Annual Salary

Responsibilities:

• Review denied claims or underpaid claims
• Prepare and submit appeals with supporting documentation
• Research payer policies and denial reasons
• Track appeal statuses and follow up with payers
• Communicate with the Billing Manager to gather needed information
• Maintain accurate documentation in billing systems
• Audit clients to ensure appeals are handled promptly

Qualifications:

• Experience in handling billing appeals and insurance claim denials

• Ability to prepare and submit detailed appeals with supporting documentation

• Proven track record of researching payer policies and understanding denial reasons

• Strong skills in tracking appeal statuses and following up with payers

• Effective communication skills to collaborate with the Billing Manager and gather necessary information

• Proficiency in maintaining accurate documentation within billing systems

• Experience in auditing client accounts to ensure timely handling of appeals
