Work Here!* Accepts and processes transactions for various types of taxes, including motor vehicle and property tax payments; sets up and monitors payment plan agreements.* Assists taxpayers and the public by responding to questions, or directing them to the proper person.* Collects payments and fees, submits payments and makes change. Balances and inputs daily transactions. Assist Internal Auditors.* Maintains knowledge of current laws and regulations relating to motor vehicles, and sales tax laws and procedures.* Files customer records, including any supporting documentation and information from other agencies. Prepares transaction reports, as needed, for the State.* Tracks and ensures the security of State accountable items, and is held personally accountable for shortages.* Assists other employees with more complicated transactions; Trains new employees.* Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.REQUIREMENTS:* High School Diploma/GED; 2 years of related work experience.**SALARY RANGE: $16.34-$20.43/Hourly****CLOSING DATE:** Upon filling position**All full-time and part-time employees are members of the Texas County District Retirement System (TCDRS).
