Veterinary Assistant / Client Service Representative

Veterinary Assistant / Client Service Representative North Hills Animal Hospital & Resort is seeking an outgoing Client Service Representative to serve as the welcoming face of our hospital. In this fast-paced role, you will create exceptional client experiences, build trust through compassionate service, manage appointments and daily patient flow, handle multi-line phones and in-person interactions, process transactions, and support clients with essential information about our services. Ideal candidates are friendly, detail-oriented, highly organized, self-motivated, and thrive in a team-focused customer service environment where initiative and attention to detail are valued every single day. Schedule and compensation: Compensation: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour, for each hour worked Schedule: This is a part-time position (20–30 hours per week) with a flexible schedule and availability needed Monday–Sunday . Shifts vary and can range from 7:20 AM–6:00 PM, 12:00–6:00 PM, 7:20 AM–1:00 PM, and others depending on daily needs. Weekend availability is required for 1–2 short shifts per month (Saturday and Sunday, approximately 5:00–6:00 PM). No on-call requirements. Full-time Benefits Package*: Health package: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance and disability Employee Assistance Program (EAP) 401k with company match Paid time off in accordance with site policy and applicable law *Part-time team members may be eligible for limited benefits in accordance with company policy and state law M inimum qualifications and skill set: 1+ years of experience in a customer service, reception, or client-facing role Previous veterinary receptionist or healthcare-related front-desk experience preferred Proficiency in the following skills: Ability to manage a multi-phone line system while assisting in-person clients Experience working with veterinary practice management software, especially Avimark , preferred Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Ability to provide compassionate, professional service to clients during both routine and emotionally sensitive situations Strong organizational and time management skills Experience scheduling appointments and coordinating calendars preferred Ability to accurately process payments and maintain financial records Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with a team Ability to remain calm, professional and solution-oriented during busy periods Why choose North Hills Animal Hospital & Resort?
