We offer Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Life Insurance, 401(k), PTO, Holidays, Vacation, and much more Summary / Objective Housekeeping Floor Technician Job Description: Performs daily cleaning of facility floors to ensure an attractive, clean, and sanitary environment in accordance with laws, regulations, and facility guidelines. Essential Functions Maintains attractive and clean floors by sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, stripping and refinishing, and burnishing floors on a regular basis. Closely follows daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules. Performs floor cleaning functions in lobbies, dining rooms, waiting rooms, activity areas, and other areas as assigned. Monitors inventory of floor supplies. Reports repairs needed to floor equipment to immediate supervisor. Cleans all types of blood and body fluids as directed. Clean equipment and work areas as assigned by the Manager. Participates in activities related to ensuring a clean and safe environment. Be knowledgeable of Federal, State, and facility rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Attend in-service educational programs. Follow defined safety codes while performing all duties. Understand the facility’s fire and disaster plans; follow established procedures during drills and actual emergencies. Perform other department duties assigned by the Housekeeping/EVS or designee. Primarily works throughout the facility, including resident rooms; bends, lifts, sits, stands, and moves frequently; may deal with frequent interruptions and upset residents and family members. Requires working scheduled shifts with possible weekends, holidays, and other hours based on resident needs. Subject to odors, exposure to infectious diseases, waste, blood and body fluids. Stands and walks continuously; can reach, stoop, bend, lift, carry, and work with housekeeping supplies and equipment. Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds. Must be free from infection or diseases. Position Type / Hours This is an hourly position, with expected hours to include rotating weekends and holidays. Travel N/A Education & Experience Ability to read, write and speak English High school graduate or equivalent is preferred. Minimum of one (1) year of housekeeping experience in a health care setting is desired. General knowledge of cleaning and infection prevention.
