Contract Specialist III

Our client, a leading organization in the oil and gas industry, is seeking a Contract Specialist III to join their team. As a Contract Specialist III, you will be part of the Contracts Department supporting project management and procurement teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Contract Specialist III

Location: Houston, TX

Pay Range: 35-40/HR

What's the Job?

• Negotiate and manage contracts related to IT agreements, including Professional Services, software licenses, SaaS, data licensing, hardware, telecom, SOWs, and Order Forms.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as technical leads, risk management, tax, and legal to ensure contracts protect company interests and meet organizational policies.
• Redline contract documents, review terms, and negotiate to achieve fair and equitable agreements with vendors and contractors.
• Work closely with outside legal counsel to draft, review, and finalize contractual documents.
• Support project teams by ensuring contractual compliance and alignment with project requirements.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• At least 5 years of experience in contract negotiation and management, specifically with IT-related agreements.
• Proven ability to negotiate terms and conditions effectively with vendors and contractors.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and legal counsel.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
