Electrical Journeyman

Residential / Service  — and / or —  Commercial / Industrial

$30–35 / hour based on experience  ·  Full-Time

Prime Quality Electric is looking for Journeymen who play chess, not checkers – those who bring ‘job quality wisdom’ to every project. If you’re a self-directed problem-solver ready to take ownership and lead from the field, we want you on our residential/service or commercial/industrial crews in Sturgis, MI.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Install electrical systems and equipment in new construction and renovations in either:
• • Residential / Service, OR
  • Commercial / Industrial (experience in both is a plus)
• Interpret and work from blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical documents for accurate, safe installation
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal electrical codes and safety standards
• Use appropriate PPE and follow company safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment
• Coordinate closely with other tradespeople, contractors, and team members to keep projects on schedule
• Provide guidance and support to apprentices and less-experienced electricians as needed
• Maintain accurate records of work performed — materials used, hours worked, and any issues encountered
• Complete documentation for inspections, permits, and project closeouts

WHAT YOU BRING

• Current Michigan Journeyman Electrician license
• 4+ years of journeyman-level electrical construction / installation experience in either:
• • Residential / Service, OR
  • Commercial / Industrial (experience in both is a plus)
• Proficiency reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
• OSHA certification or similar safety training preferred
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or at heights as needed
• Able to work in varied conditions — heat, cold, noise, and dust
• Physical stamina for demanding conditions, long hours, and repetitive tasks
• Good vision and hearing for safety and accurate work

SCHEDULE

Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
