Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a dynamic finance team in Lawrenceville, NJ. This individual will play a key role in the month-end and year-end close process, financial reporting, cost accounting, and operational analysis. The position offers significant interaction with manufacturing, operations, and executive leadership, providing an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the business.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support month-end and year-end close activities
• Prepare financial statements, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Post journal entries, accruals, and general ledger adjustments
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable oversight
• Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, production variances, and overhead spending
• Partner with operations teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Support audits, special projects, and ad hoc financial analysis as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and the financial close process
• Manufacturing industry experience highly preferred
• Experience with cost accounting, inventory accounting, and financial analysis
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
