Director OF Development

The client seeks a Senior Director of Development, Major Gifts to join its Development team and lead the development of an individual and major gifts strategy. This role serves as a key relationship leader and will manage a portfolio of approximately 100–125 major donors, with responsibility for developing and implementing engagement strategies to move prospects toward established goals and ensuring timely follow-through. The Senior Director of Development, Major Gifts will coordinate and may direct assignments to other staff and volunteers as appropriate to support major gift fundraising activities. The organization delivers crisis services, therapy, support groups, training, and research as part of its suicide prevention and mental health mission, with an emphasis on compassionate care and expanding access to high-quality support. The ideal candidate will be energized by both fundraising objectives and the opportunity to build, innovate, and lead within a collaborative team environment. Strong strategic thinking and creativity are expected, along with curiosity and optimism in approaching challenges, as well as the ability to manage donor relationships effectively and align development efforts with the client’s mission.
