Energy Associate

Role Overview Husch Blackwell LLP is a national law firm with multiple locations across the United States, dedicated to our clients and the industries they serve. Position Overview We have an immediate opening for an Energy Associate with four to six years of experience preferred. We will consider candidates for any of our offices including our virtual office, The Link. This role is ideal for a candidate who thrives at the intersection of commercial contracting, renewable energy development, and complex infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities The ideal candidate will have experience drafting, negotiating, and reviewing core agreements that drive renewable energy projects forward—including EPC agreements, PPAs/offtake agreements, major equipment supply contracts, and long‑term O&M or service agreements. The candidate will work primarily with attorneys in our Energy & Natural Resources Strategic Business Unit. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have excellent academic credentials, a commitment to the community, superior interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated record of working well under pressure. The candidate should demonstrate exceptional judgment, the ability to effectively handle multiple projects, and the ability to articulate legal strategies and courses of action. Candidates should have an active bar license in the state corresponding with the office to which they are applying or commit to obtaining one as soon as possible. Benefits & Compensation Competitive compensation ranging from $215,000 to $265,000 depending on location and qualifications. Associates eligible for an Associate Performance Bonus and Client Development Bonus. Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and more. Pursuant to applicable state laws, the compensation range for this position in Colorado, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, and Washington is $230,000-$260,000, in California, New York, and Washington, D.C. is $240,000-$265,000, in Minnesota and Vermont is $215,000-$246,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
